Job role
Perform data visualization and analysis to support data-driven business decisions. Preparation and visualization of business data for relevant stakeholders and derivation of recommendations for action to support business decisions on a strategic, tactical, and operational level.
What you will do
Targeted visualization and analysis of large amounts of data and derivation of relevant insights. Clear preparation of information and insights for stakeholders from the business units, e.g., through the creation of reports or dashboards. On this basis, development of recommendations for action for subject matter experts and management to support business decisions or identify potential for improvement.
- Identifies the requirements of the functional area, collects and processes relevant data in collaboration with data engineers using tools such as Python, R, SAS for focused analysis and debate
- Transforms data into easy-to-use formats and reports, effectively visualizing and summarizing results
- Provides actionable insights and advises stakeholders on data-driven decisions based on analytics
What you bring
- Good understanding of mathematical and statistical fundamentals and basic understanding of data science languages (Python, R, PySpark, Scala, etc.), database structures (SQL, NoSQL) and data storage tools (Databricks, ADLS, AzureML, etc.).
- Knowledge of data mining, business objectives, and processes to appropriately apply data analytics. Proficient in business intelligence tools (MS Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and familiarity with source code management tools (Git, Github Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of insurance industry, including understanding of insurance products, operations, and regulatory environment
- Basic understanding of IT compliance, data governance, data protection and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark for data processing and analysis
- Familiarity with Azure and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data pipeline creation and management
- Experience with Databricks for big data processing and analysis
