ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Creating excellent, target market-related posts for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter as priority platforms)
● Be the face of the brand whenever required (feature themselves in the reels, videos, posts, stories) to make the brand feel more real and relatable to the users
● Developing social media strategies to increase relevant followers reach & engagement across platforms - Ensure brand consistency in messaging by working with various department members, including Copywriters, Graphic Designers and Digital
● Create the social media calendar, including budget planning, content ideation, and implementation schedules
● Collaborate with, reach out to, negotiate contracts, manage and maintain good relationships with best-in-class influencers in the beauty space – get them to make the right content that matches our brand’s ethos, and smartly repurpose that content to generate own brand’s virality
● Tracking and reporting on social media insights (traffic, followers, likes, engagement, shares, conversion rates) - collecting customer data and analysing interactions and visits, plus using this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future campaign strategies
● Using different concepts and styles to appeal to different demographics, keeping up with viral trends, topical content, themes, occasions through the content
● Repurposing content across platforms: hashtags, blogs, or longer post for different social media networks, ads etc
● Maintaining a visible online brand presence and adhering to the brand’s marketing goals.
● Develop a critical point of view on competitor brand strategies and social media tactics
● Continuously reviewing competitor social media strategies to inform team members and ensure relevancy in brand’s execution REQUIREMENTS
● Well versed with social media implementation, best practices and strategies – understands how to grow a new brand’s social media presence from 0 to 1 and to create VIRAL content, is passionate about the social media space
● A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a social media manager having independently handled a brand’s responsibilities as listed above
● Has worked on calendar planning, social ORM, publishing and understands key metrics
● Hands-on experience managing various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube)
● Currently working in a brand first consumer internet startup or a modern media startup
● Excellent creative, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills ● The ability to adapt to new technology
● Can create reels, videos, GIFs, aesthetic product shots independently if given a good quality phone
● The ability to create original web content with a creative-first mentality
● An ability to be a team player and to multi-task
● Exceptional organizational skills
